The owner of CORAL OCEAN is offering a Special Rate of USD 250,000 (instead of USD 320,000) for all bookings after 15 January 2018 in the Bahamas and the Caribbean!

 

Boasting five decks, with infinite sunbathing options, casual dinner, snacking or formal dinner – al fresco dining is taken to the highest level. Flavours of Africa mix with hints of Polynesia to create the ultimate floating paradise - your own CORAL OCEAN.

 

Launched from the Lurssen yard in 1994, her Jon Bannenberg design is widely recognised. Much admired, she is an elegant, luxurious classic yacht. Her outdoor main deck dining area can accommodate parties for up to 80 guests.

A neutral palette of creams and browns create a calming interior ambience and the owner's suite takes pride of place on the top deck, extending down to the upper deck. The owner's top deck sleeping area offers panoramic views forward.

 

With direct access from the lower deck guest suites, the gym and spa complex- complete with steam room- leads to the swim platform and beach club. The vast sun deck with pool is surrounded by extensive seating and a bar.

Top Deck:
Owner's suite is the epitome of private luxury, a magnificent top deck sleeping area rewards with spectacular panoramic views from the forward wraparound windows, with an impressive bathroom with large bath area and separate shower area and a generous dressing room.

Upper Deck:
VIP suite is forward and has a lounge with a huge screen. A part door goes to the owner's state room (on the next deck). Bathroom en suite, dressing area and private study are complemented by extensive sea views.

Lower Deck:
Guest suites offer the ultimate comfort and tranquility. 2 x king size cabins and 2 x double cabins, all with bathroom en suites.

Brian brings the CORAL OCEAN program a wealth of knowledge and experience in both the Mediterranean and Caribbean along with a professional attitude and meticulous eye for detail. With an easy going leadership style and over 13 years professional yachting experience Brian will help to get the best out of any situation and ensure a wonderful experience for you and your guests.

Chief Officer (on rotation) - Philippus Coetzee (South African)
Interests: Woodwork, Hiking, Snorkelling, Sailing.
Philip grew up on a farm in the north west corner of South Africa. He started his career on Sailing yachts at the early age of 20. After his early years of sailing he moved on to the larger motor yachts. Philip began as deckhand and has gradually moved his way up the ladder to become a Chief Officer. For the last 5 years he has been working on charter yachts as Chief officer and will be doing his Master ticket this upcoming winter. He brings a great deal of experience to the table and is a good all round leader.

Chief Officer (on rotation) - Grant Gold (South African)
Interests: Golf, Squash, Rugby, Cricket, Finding Solutions.
At the age of 7, Grant spent 5 years living on a 40ft sailboat with his family sailing around the world. He grew up in the Caribbean, racing and cruising before moving to New Orleans to study Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering. Grant decided he missed being on the water, so he started his career in the superyacht industry. He has worked for 14 years on a number of prominent motor yachts, and holds his Master 3000grt Captains license. Grant is very experienced, with a warm glowing personality, he is always ready to help out wherever he can.

Bosun – Mary Jo Langhein (South African)

Mary-Jo grew up in a small town in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. She stumbled across the yachting industry after school and was instantly hooked on the travel and meeting new, exciting people.

Chief Stewardess - Laurie Schermbrucker (New Zealander)
Interets: Cooking, running, kitesurfing, motorbikes
Laurie comes from a long history of yachting. Her family immigrated to New Zealand in 2000 after spending seven years sailing around the world on board a 30ft Miura yacht.
She loves to experience new cultures, cuisines and wines, and is always interested in new destinations to explore.

Second Stewardess - Georgina Brazier (South African)
Interests: Travelling, Waterspoirts, Skiing, Cooking, Reading.
Georgina was born and raised in the beautiful town of Kloof, near Durban, South Africa. After school, she completed an undergraduate degree at the university of Stellenbosch and a postgraduate degree in marketing at the University of Cape Town before beginning her yachting career. Her love of travel and adventure led her to the exciting world of yachts.

Stewardess - Sian Rae (South African)
Interests: Gymnastics, horse riding, massage, design
Sian grew up in sunny South Africa, spending her formative years as an elite gymnast before moving onto coaching in her late teens. When Sian wasn\'t balancing on a beam she could be found following her other two passions; riding horses and fashion design. After high school she moved to Scotland, later traveling over to France to take her first position on board a yacht. She has been in the industry for just over a year and a half as a stewardess, a nanny, a masseuse and a seamstress.

Stewardess - Kim Reilly (South African)
Interests: Stand Up Paddling, Surfing, Hiking, Yoga, Watersports, Traveling.
Kim was lucky enough to grow up in the beautiful, sunny South Africa. After she finished school, she studied Business at Stellenbosch University where she completed her degree, and then went to further her studies and completed her postgraduate diploma in entrepreneurship at the University of Cape Town.
Kim lives for adventure and travel, and since finishing her studies she went on to do a ski season in Colorado, America, followed by a few years teaching English in Vietnam. Kim\'s passion for the ocean and travel has brought her into the wonderful world of yachting.

Stewardess - Emilly Nielsen (British)
Interests: Scuba Diving, Running, Exploring.
Emily grew up in the glorious countryside of Kent, UK. Having spent several years working within a landbased service industry Emily decided to take her knowledge to the sea, following in her sisters footsteps.
When she isn\'t busy on board, Emily loves to explore the surrounding areas.

Masseuse - Honor Pilmore (British)
Interests: Horse riding, skiing, organic beauty therapy and conservation
Honor is a professionally trained masseuse from Leicester, England. After studying at The Oxford International College of Beauty, she gained experience in several gold standard spas and salons.
Honor went on to pursue her travel dreams exploring Asia before joining the yachting industry with the desire to combine her love of beauty and travel into one fantastic career.
She uses a wealth of talent and experience to provide top class professional massage services to the guests on board CORAL OCEAN.

Laundryman - Ryard Cahanap (Filipino)
Interests: Basketball, Tennis, Volleyball.
Ryard was born on the small island of Bohol in the Philippines. He earned a bachelor of science degree in Marine Transportation and worked on cruise ships, travelling globally, before entering the yachting industry in 2007. He is an excellent seafarer and an ever smiling member of the crew in addition to providing a top class laundry service to our guests.

Head Chef – Chris Westrip (British)
Interests: Scuba diving, yoga, swimming
Chris started his culinary career in the early 90s where he worked around London and Essex in 5 star hotels and Rosette restaurants. In 2001 he started his career at sea working on cruise ships in the VIP restaurants. 5 years later he made the transition to yachting where he has traveled from Australia to Alaska, and most of Asia.
Chris enjoys broadening his culinary knowledge as he continues his travels around the world.

Sous Chef - Frederic Tsjoen (French)
Interests: Athletics, Motor sports, Jazz music.
Born in France, and trained in the classical French culinary tradition, Frederic has spent the last number of years living in Britain and working on some of the finest superyachts. He has over 19 years of professional experience in both restaurants and on yachts. When he is not busy in the galley Frederic can be found exploring the local markets or running in the mountains.

Chief Engineer (on rotation) - Steve Austin (British)
Interests: Football, Running, Golf, Fishing.
Steve, originally from Birmingham, spent 29 years in the Royal Navy achieving the rank of Warrant Officer serving on board nuclear submarines, before joining the superyacht industry over five years ago. He possesses sound technical knowledge and organisational skills, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the engineering team.

Chief Engineer (on rotation) - Martin Mclellan (British)
Interests: Scuba Diving, hiking and wildlife.
Martin grew up on the west coast of Scotland. In pursuit of sunnier climes, Martin joined the Merchant Navy and completed his Engineering officer cadetship in 2006. Since then Martin has worked in many different sectors of the marine industry and is thoroughly enjoying his role as Chief Engineer on board CORAL OCEAN.

Second Engineer (on rotation) - Mark Baptiste (British)
Interests: Running, Rugby, Motorbikes.
Mark grew up in Watford before joining the Royal Navy, serving on nuclear submarines alongside our Chief Engineer Steve. He has worked on yachts since leaving the navy and brings both experience and a great sense of humour to the engineering team.

Second Engineer (on rotation) - Martin Slaven (British)
Interests: Travel, weight training, reading and astronomy.
Growing up on an Island on the west coast of Scotland, Martin has always been interested in the sea and the maritime industry. Martin has worked around the world on a variety of different vessels and has recently achieved Second Engineer Unlimited certification. Joining CORAL OCEAN during the refit period, Martin has thoroughly enjoyed the new challenges presented within the Yachting industry and applying his experience from other vessels in a new environment. Martin enjoys problem solving and has a keen eye for detail.

ETO (on rotation) - Alexander Bentley (South African)
Interests: Travelling, Wildlife, Golf, Scuba diving, Trail running.
Alex was born on a farm in Cape Town, South Africa where he grew up and went to school. He studied Electrical Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Cape Town. He then spent 4 years working for Unilever as a Project Engineer before deciding to pursue a career in yachting. Alex loves travelling, adventure and exploring different parts of the world. He has a passion for wildlife and is a qualified African Safari Guide which he practices in his spare time.

ETO (on rotation) - Glenn Rogers (British)
Interests: Photography, fitness, yoga, scuba diving
Originally from Hertfordshire in the UK, Glenn is a highly experienced and pragmatic Engineer with over 12 years of experience in electrical/avionic engineering. Glenn served in the Royal Air Force as an Aircraft Electrical and Avionics Engineer for 9 years before pursuing a career in the yachting industry. He enjoys photography, keeping fit and regularly practices yoga. Glenn is also a keen scuba diver and is a qualified Dive Leader with the British Sub Aqua Club.

Second Officer - Ross Dunbar (South African)
Interests: Kite surfing, Watersports.
Ross grew up in the small coastal town of Knysna, South Africa where he developed a passion for the marine world. Having completed a business degree at Stellenbosch, Ross joined a superyacht in Tahiti and was quickly hooked on the industry. He is a passionate kite surfer and water sports enthusiast and looks after all the guest’s water sports activities.

Deckhand – Kurt Jackson (Australian)
Interests: Diving, sailing, interior design
Born on the east coast of Australia, Kurt grew up around the water. Since finishing a business degree in 2012, Kurt has been based in North America working in 5 star hotels, and most recently a string of elegant super yachts. He has a passion for the outdoors and especially water sports. If Kurt\'s not on a jet ski, you will find him underwater free diving to extreme depths.

Deckhand - Jay Salabas (Filipino)
Interests: Scuba diving, watersports
Jay joined the yachting industry following a 6 year period in the Merchant Navy and has many years’ experience yachting in both the Mediterranean and Caribbean. He worked as a dive instruction in the South Pacific before joining CORAL OCEAN and has a passion for scuba diving and the marine world.

Deckhand - Shaun Derry (Zimbabwean)
Interests: Swimming, Music, Sailing.
Having grown up on a farm in Harare, Zimbabwe, Shaun has always been the outdoors type. A keen sailor, he completed a range of sailing qualifications before joining super yachts and one day hopes to captain a vessel of his own. He is a keen water sports enthusiast.

Deckhand - Ross Cullingworth (South African)
Interests: Rugby, travelling, meeting new people
Ross grew up in Johannesburg South Africa. After finishing high school he travelled to the United States to work as a summer camp counselor and lifeguard. Before joining the yachting industry, he spent time in the UK working as a landscaper. Ross thoroughly enjoys his role on board and is looking forward to completing his first season in the yachting industry on board CORAL OCEAN.

Deckhand – Charlie Gabb (British)
Interests: Football, rugby, horse racing and travelling
Charlie grew up in the countryside in Gloucestershire, England. Having spent a few years after school working in hospitality, he decided to follow a friend’s footsteps into yachting where he could combine his work with his love for the sea and travel. Charlie has a passion for sports and enjoys participating in team sports whenever the opportunity arises.
