Yacht-Charter, exklusive Yachten & Luxusyachten - Segelboote & Motorboote zum Mieten.

SPECIAL OFFER FOR MAY 2019: ONLY 75000€ PER WEEK!

Chief Engineer - Renato Garma
Renato was born in Croatia and raised in the lowest inhabited island in the world Krapanj, a small island near the town Sibenik. He attended a Technical High school in Sibenik, where in 1990 graduated from the Department of Marine Engineering as a Technician. From an early age, he dreamed of becoming an engineer. He spent five years working on container ships before moving to the commercial (offshore) industry in 1998. Renato sailed 18 years around the world on different types of ships in the offshore industry where he gained tremendous experience, as well as completing refit jobs and strict inspections. In 2017 he entered the yachting industry and came straight on to M/Y Highlander to which he has adapted quickly, this showcasing his superior capabilities in the engine room. Since then he always had a big interest for the life at sea. Now Jacob has worked in the yachting industry for the past 6 years and could not be happier with his choice. As a bonus, he met his girlfriend Bella onboard his last boat. Before yachting, he worked in all kind of jobs in Norway, everything from kindergarten teacher to furniture removal. After sailing around the San Blas Islands 7 years ago, he realized that he wanted to learn how to sail properly. Shortly after, he did a yacht master course for 3 months in Spain, which helped him pursue a career on the water.

Deckhand - Justin Allen
Justin comes from a family with a long naval heritage which goes back several generations and when the chance came about to continue that, the call of the sea was too strong to resist. A keen traveler who loves to learn about different countries and cultures, yachting was the perfect opportunity to see more of the world outside of a small country town in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. In accordance with South African culture, Justin loves both watching and participating in sport. The dream of playing cricket for his country was tragically ended by an unfortunate case of just not quite being good enough. Nowadays football is the most closely followed sport in Justin’s life, as well as the always exciting golf, cricket and tennis. Music is a big part of Justin’s life – listening to it rather than creating it!
Classic rock is definitely a favourite genre with the likes of the Rolling Stones and Dire Straits at the top of an ever-changing list of favourite bands. Anything with a guitar will do. Three years of university was enough to convince him that he wasn’t ready to settle into an office job just yet and so the Mediterranean was the destination for what has so far been the adventure of a lifetime.

Stewardess - Suzy Kuminecz
Suzy is our enthusiastic 3rd Stewardess from Nagyatád, Hungary. She joined MY Highlander in February and spent the winter cooking delicious meals for the crew. Suzy started yachting in the fall of 2015 aboard a yacht which took her to Qatar where she fell in love with Middle Eastern food and the colours of Arabia. Suzy is never afraid to try out new things whether it is an extreme sport, cuisine or discover an unknown country. Suzy is always ready to help with anything you need be it prepare you a refreshing cocktail or answer any question you may have, so don’t hesitate to ask her!

Mikaela was born in Melbourne, Australia where she soon developed a love for adventure and the outdoors. During her years at school, Mikaela gained 3 years’ experience in high-pressure hospitality environments, from bustling corporate events to silver service and intimate fine dining. Through her background in hospitality coupled with her family’s passion for boating and fishing, the yachting industry felt like a natural fit. After finishing school, Mikaela moved up to the stunning Whitsunday Islands on the Great Barrier Reef of Australia, where she started out her yachting career. Since joining the yachting industry in 2016, Mikaela has been based between Australia and Thailand. It was a long-term dream to venture out to the Mediterranean and work on yachts. She enjoys working in both the service and housekeeping departments and especially loves the challenge of elevating meal time by creating an atmosphere and a sense of occasion. Mikaela believes a yacht is a piece of floating art and a reflection of its owner and crew.
