Charter Provider

How to choose the best charter provider:

Charter very early or very late
Of course the best way is to charter very early. So you have a lot of possibilities and lots of ships you can choose from. And ask your charter offerer for early booking prices. (Hint: On boatshows you will mostly get special discounts). The competitors in your destination, the higher the discount. In short-range there are discounts up to 50% possible.

Big Charter Offerers
Big charter Offerers mostly can guarantee to make available another yacht in case of problems with the original chartered boat. These days you normally can expect a price guarantee from big charter offerers. In some cases the boats from these comanies are not in best condition, thats an effect we know from all other thing, because a familial company or private persons take care of the ships in another way. The reason is: They want to use it themselfes sometimes.

Little Charter Offerers
Little Charter Offerers take care of the ships in another way. because they want to use it themselfes as often as possible. Sometimes it could be a disadvantage, because they cannot guarantee a second ship in case of problems with the one you chartered. But a good company in most cases will use the possibility to organise another yacht from another company. This of course could be a problem in very high season.

How to find charter companies
Just google. Or the more better way: Just have a look at the websites of RENTABO. You can also have the possibility to visit a boatshow an talk to the companies personally.

Price for your charter
Do not just look after the price. Also the additional costs have to be taken into account. Also think about the costs for travelling to the destination. The charter company should fulfil the following qualifications:

  • The charter contract should be written in round terms. Check obscurities with with the charter offerer in written form.
  • Pay attention with the pictures for the ship. The most charter companies use very old pictures for all ships. Ask for actual pictures or ask for the year of construction.
  • All costs should be written down in the charter contract. Ask especially for the insurance for the ship.
  • The charter company should take time to show you the ropes.
  • Check all equipment you can see for accurate condition. So you can prevent trouble at sea.

Last but not least
On recommendation of your friends you will find the best charter offerer.
