Possibilities for Charter

A distinction is drawn between two differnt Charter possibilities

Bareboat
The most popular kind of charter. You charter the whole ship and you handle everything yourself. At least one person is responsible and must have practical experience in sailing and navigation. Normally the crew knows each other before the trip and they do not have to take into account special interests of single crew members. All problems are to be handled by the crew itself. They can do their independent trip and enjoy funny, exciting an precious moments.

Single (Stowaway/Mix and Meet/Pot Luck)
You do not want to miss a charter trip, but do not want to arrange a complete crew yourself? Also for single persons it is possible to know the true promise of a charter trip as a part of a crew. To take potluck - that is the motto of this charter type. Of course you do not know before your trip something about the other crew members. Mostly you can choose your crew by some criterias like: Smoker/ Non-Smoker, Age, Lets do some miles, Relaxing and bathing. If there is the possibility to meet the other guests before your trip, then use it. You will stay on very little space for several days with foreign persons. In worst case the interests are so different and the trip has to be cancelled very early.

Hire a Skipper
Just arrange a crew and do not worry not to have a crew member with the necessary experience. Just charter a yacht with a Skipper. The skipper will cost about 80,- Euro per day plus food. So you have the possibility to enjoy a sailing trip with your friends also without experiences in any kind. The skipper is responsible for the ship at all. Of course you will have the possibility to navigate and to do all things which are necessary to sail a yacht. You will not be just a guest, you of course can be the captain for some time.

Flottilla
This is a modern art of sailing. It has its seeds in the mediterranean area. A flottilla consits of 3 or more boats, mostly of the same type and the same speed. Then you have a mother ship, which has a skipper with experiences and is the boss of all other vessels. The spoken language is in most cases english, because the crews are from different nations with different languages in most cases. The ship have the possibility to communicate by radiotelephony. The idea is to sail and not to become boring. For problems you have every time the possibility to contact the mother ship.
